Q + A

Where is the wedding at?

Redstone Inn in Redstone Historic District, CO

Will there be cell phone service in Redstone and Marble?

Not likely! Make sure you download any areas in Google Maps before you get to the area. Turn on your GPS prior to your trip starting. This will allow you to continue navigating while driving, even when offline. The hotel has Starlink Wi-Fi once you arrive. Update: We just did the drive, and there is no cell service when you are 5 minutes out of Carbondale, approx. 20 minutes away from Redstone Inn. Coverage varies based on your provider. Also, not a lot of service between Redstone and Big B's either.

What do I wear to the wedding?

Bohemian Western Garden Party is the vibe, so find yourself a lightweight, earth toned or floral, formal outfit. Throw in some Western touches like cowboy hats and boots if you're feeling fancy! Men, no tuxedos necessary but please no jeans.

How should I travel in to Redstone?

Flights are easy to get direct into Denver International Airport. There are other local airports you could fly into that would get you closer, like Eagle County or Aspen, but the flight prices will be more expensive. Check out the Travel tab for more info. Uber & Lyft are not reliable where we are going, so please make arrangements to get a rental car or coordinate hitching a ride with someone else who does! Reach out if you'd like help coordinating travel, as well.

Where are the closet towns to buy groceries?

There is a general store down the lane in Redstone. You will pass through Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. These are great towns to grab a meal or a drink at a restaurant or do some shopping.

What altitude am I going to be at?

7,176 ft. Make sure to stay hydrated! Alcohol will effect you differently if you are coming from sea level. If you feel like you will have a problem, please plan travel accordingly and stay in Denver at 5,280 feet for one night to acclimate.

What will the weather be like?

In August, in the mountains, nights are still going to get pretty cool. Temperatures range from low 40s to high 80s. Rain is not unexpected in the early afternoons in the summer, but storms are generally very short.

Will there be wildlife?

This venue is in a remote area and there is enough bear activity that there are signs warning visitors placed throughout the town. Any wildlife you encounter, please respect it, and be safe!
